How long does an EPDM rubber roof last?
EPDM is a long-life membrane. Manufacturers commonly quote lifespans of 20 years and beyond, and how long it actually lasts comes down to good installation and edge detailing.
Can rubber go over my old felt roof?
It's usually best to strip the old roof and check the deck underneath, so any rot or damage can be put right first. We'll advise once we've inspected it.
Can I walk on a rubber roof?
Light foot traffic for maintenance is fine. If you want to use the roof as a terrace, it needs a suitable protective surface, which we can talk through with you.
